Check-in in the afternoon of Day 1. The evening is yours to take the opportunity of tasting some of Adelaide’s finest delights. Choose dinner at one of the cities many restaurants, take in the bar scene in Leigh or Peel Streets or perhaps even arrange to see a show at one of the many theatres in this culturally sophisticated city.

Day 2 sees you embark on the first leg of wine tastings on the Taste the Barossa Full day Barossa Wine Tour. This is a premium small group wine tour exploring some of the most beautiful and acclaimed wineries the region has to offer. You will be collected from Hostel 109 Flashpackers and then travel through the beautiful Adelaide Hills to the Barossa Valley.

The first stop is at Château Yaldara, home to not only some of the finest shirazes in the region but to some of the best preserved period architecture in the state.

With time to explore the shops and attractions of the beautiful and historic township of Tanunda before you go on to the renowned Peter Lehmann winery for a wonderful private tasting in the Four Songs room within their cellar door, sampling some of the Barossa’s most internationally acclaimed vintages.

Lunch is a wonderful platter of the region’s finest meats, cheeses, olives and assorted vegetables accompanied by freshly baked bread (Vegetarian option available).

After lunch, it’s on to Langmeil, one of the most visually stunning wineries in the region and home to the oldest known Shiraz vineyard in the world. Stroll through the vineyard and into the ancient cellar to sample your choice of the finest wines the state has to offer.

Stopping to take in in the breath-taking panoramic views of the Barossa from Mengler’s Hill Lookout, the final wine-tasting experience at Lindsay Wines, fusing art, wine and music into a joyous experience that simply can’t be missed.

Complete the day with a trip through the beautiful Seppeltsfield region – the perfect photo opportunity – before boarding the bus back to Adelaide.

Depending upon your preference the evening offers the opportunity for a quiet dinner or a chance to explore some of Adelaide’s gin and whisky bars or thriving pub and live music scene (at your own expense).

The morning of Day 3 is free time offering the chance to wander through the city environs, checking out the world renowned Adelaide Central Markets or wandering through our beautiful Botanical Gardens before making your way to Victoria Square for departure to the McLaren Vale wine region.

First stop is a structured wine tasting at the beautiful Chapel Hill Winery. Enjoy an appetising cheese plate as you sample wine within their stunning Cellar door.

We then make our way to the main street of McLaren Vale for some more South Australian delights. There is an opportunity to visit Hardy’s Tintara for more wine tasting, the Fruchocs factory for a well known sweet treat, or sample some almond varieties at the quaint Almond Train carriage and purchase a tasty gift or two. Perhaps you’d prefer to just sit back and relax in one of McLaren Vales’ little coffee shops, you can do that too. We then head for our second structured wine tasting at the beautiful Shingleback winery where you can indulge in a selection of your favourite wine varieties.

Returning to Adelaide via the coast and Glenelg, you have the choice of stopping off to enjoy the sunset over the ocean and dinner at the beach before returning to Hostel 109 Flashpackers by your own means, or electing to be dropped back in the city for another evening in our beautiful city.

Checkout is on the morning of Day 4. We have many suggestions on how to enjoy your time until you leave or you may wish to combine your visit with another of our tours.
